Immortals of Aveum

  • Adapted to an established art style and created concept art for many different areas of the game. Our concepts matched seamlessly with the work created prior to our collaboration.

  • All of the props were created using a hybrid approach, utilizing both 2D and 3D techniques. The majority of the design is created in 3D and the model is provided along with the concept images, providing the production artists with a valuable head start.

    Some of our concepts for banners, posters, and signs were used directly in game. These assets were valuable in creating a believable and living world in Aveum.

Our team joined the project near the end of production. We say this not to diminish our contribution but to provide context and to showcase our ability to adapt to an established art style. At the start of our collaboration, Ascendant Studios had already figured out the art direction of the game, and needed assistance in bringing their world to life with their specific vision. We achieved exactly that. With meticulous care, we studied every art direction document and every piece of concept art until we had a clear grasp of the world.

Environments

Many of these concepts started from a basic, white box layout created by the level design team at Ascendant Studios. It was our job to convert these basic volumes into convincing spaces that felt visually impressive.

Prop Design

Using a hybrid approach of both 2D and 3D techniques we created an assortment of designs, ranging from grand doorways, magical platforms, intricate braziers, and artistcally detailed signage.

Graphic Design

Creating a vibrant world filled with life requires deep care and thought. One of our favorite tasks is designing the graphic design in the world. Many of these designs were used directly as textures in game.
